Renovations and or Staging in 2020??

This year the market has been hot, hot, hot!! I have been putting houses on the market enjoying non stop showings, getting multiple offers and often receiving offers over list price with little or no contingencies!!

With that said, should you renovate or stage your home To sell? My answer is obviously case by case but the answer is yes if you want to get the most amount of money in the least amount of time.

Is staging necessary? I recommend using my complimentary consultation with my stagers if necessary. In addition, I also provide professional photography. It is truly the combination of having a beautiful home and gorgeous pictures across all of the media outlets that really help to sell your home. The better your house looks, the more traffic that you will have. The more traffic that you have can lead to multiple offers in a market that still has low inventory. When you receive multiple offers buyers start to bid above each other and start to remove contingencies such as home inspections, appraisals and even financing if they are capable. When this happens you then end up making back the money that you put into the staging and much more!!

Renovations are also a good idea IF necessary. I am always happy to educate my clients on what is worth spending on renovations and what is not. I will always try to save you money when I can. I recently had a client who lived in his house for many years and knew it was best to renovate the dated areas. Things were worn out over time. He added some granite to the kitchen, bought new appliances, put in new flooring and paint and updated his master bath. He also went under contract in one day with three offers over list price and more than made his money back from the renovations!!

Education and guidance are the key to knowing what to do. I am here to help guide you in the right direction to sell your home. Call me today for a free consultation at 703-606-6792.
